Thank you Robyn for putting the petition together and for keeping it going.

On behalf of Gender Spectrum UK, I think we should consider this to be a pretty good result.

Hi Alison,

No problem - It has been nice to see the response.

I know that there is still work to do and I hope that the people who are working on the procedures will contact yourself in due course.

Yours,
Robyn

Thanks Polly,

Although it may be my name on the petition, this is very much a joint effort by everyone.

It is through the efforts of all those who advertised the petition and the letters that we achieved this point.

None of this would have happened has Alison not done the research into the National ID Card.

So she is the one who deserves the credit.

The next points to look for are:

1. Response from the petition
2. Response from the Consultation Committee
3. Possible Invite for someone from Gender Spectrum UK to speak with the Consultation Committee
4. Changes made to the procedures for the National ID Cards and alterations to the contents of the Database for the ID Cards and the Passports (since both are linked)
5. Specific security measures to protect access to personal data on the Database

Yours,
Robyn
