Result.

For the sake of completeness and so that we can see what she responded to, would it be possible for you to post a copy of your email to her, here, please?

Polly, I did try and send you a private message but got a failed message.
The email and telephone call makes reference to the petition on number tens website
I will try and send you a private message again but in essence my conversation and returned email
referenced the website, the passport status (and driving license) and the inconsistence's between that
and the new proposed identity card. Dr Jones has a direct link to the 10 website so she was able to read
what had been printed by Robyn I am awaiting a returned call from Bernard and or email re the same,
however I do have concerns that Dr Jones was not even aware of this issue, given that Christine Burns
as far as I am aware is also or certainly was on the same committee as is indeed Terry Reed, whom I will speak to late
we have to know if we are being backed or are we being pushed by the trans community into having to accept the situation or
obtain a gender recognition certificate? one does wonder?

Judging by Christine Burns' blog, she is currently pre-occupied with the Equality Bill, has someone sent her the petition link? Just because someone is on a committee does not mean that they will work out all the ramifications of the ID Card bill on their own.

Yes I did, but I can't guarantee she received it - spam filters can play havoc with emails

Thanks Kat

Sorry about the PM - there is a glitch within phpBB that means you cannot use speech marks " in a PM. I think it has been fixed in a later release, but I haven't updated yet.

If anyone else has Christine's contact details, maybe think about dropping her another line?

Polly do you have her private BT email address?
if you havent i will look back through my mails I store them on disk so it could take some time but,
if you already have her BT email address and you have sent her an email via this then thats fine.
However like I have said before there are those that place high emphasis on us having to obtain and go on a register in order to obtain this certificate.Whilst I appriciate Robyns post regarding different methods of finding out who is and who is not transsexual I am not in favor of having one centralised record, because no doubt this centralised record will be linked to the identity card, to your insurance, to your tax, to your health. I was horrified when I was contacted by Bio Uk
whom turned out to be linked into cardiff university, which just so happend to be doing genetic studies on gender, I was more horrified when they asked my permission to access my medical records and monitor me for life! (not as horrified as my GP) hes still looking into how this came about.

The petition has now been promoted to the 500+ members of the Transgender Resource Center on Second Life, many of those members are UK residents and can sign the petition.
